Our favorite sports tend to be the ones we invent ourselves, the ones forged from boredom and a ball. And, more often than not, that ball is a Wilson. As the world’s leader in sports equipment, Wilson believes that each of its products is a blank canvas for the masterpiece of a game you’ll soon create.

MAKE THE GAME

WILSON

The art direction captures the spontaneity and whimsicality that emerges as a new game is being created. The equipment is splashed with color to direct the eye towards the product, but also to illustrate its function as the creative spark that lets us color in the details of this new sport we have made.

01

Submit a Sport

This campaign is about celebrating all the unofficial, unheralded, and unheard-of sports that are being created every single day. Which is why Wilson will hold a contest where the public can submit their own, unique games.

The winning sport will be immortalized with its own dedicated tab on Wilson’s website where there will be equipment, tutorials, and information on how this new sport works. A game that began in your own backyard with nothing but an empty afternoon and some creativity, now has the chance to be played in backyards all over the world.

Upper Deck x Wilson

Everybody is the Babe Ruth of their unique, made-up sport. To highlight how we’re all the G.O.A.T’s of our own games, Wilson will partner with Upper Deck to create personalized cards that look and feel like the real thing.

03

US Open Ball Crew Skills Challenge

Often the real stars of tennis matches are the ball boys and girls. As the official sponsor of the U.S. Open, Wilson wants to highlight these unofficial athletes. On center court prior to the final match, attendees will be treated to the newly created “Ball Crew Skills Challenge.”

Pickup Vending Machine

Did you drop the ball by forgetting to bring one? When you’re out at the park and wishing you had something to toss around, look out for one of Wilson’s new vending machines, stocked full of sports possibilities. Wilson provides the ball. You make the game.

05

Meetup x Wilson

Sports are about creativity and connection. Wilson will partner with the app, “Meetup,” to create “Pickup,” allowing users to connect with local games. Whether it’s an established sport like basketball or a made-up one you’re reading about for the first time, there’s always a new game ready for you to “pickup.”
